Amanda Roberts is the Professional Development Coordinator for GHID. This committee is responsible for presenting challenging, relevant workshops and other development opportunities designed to enhance and advance the skills of working interpreters and students of Interpreter Training Programs.
Here are some upcoming workshops and events. Clicking the link will take you to a more thorough description and registration form.
April 12 Workshop - Our next workshop will feature GHID's own president, James Virgilio, presenting Interpreting ASL into "Good" English. If you want to move from simply voicing ASL glosses into delivering fluent English interpretations, this is the ideal opportunity. This will be our last workshop before the 2008 TSID / RID Region IV Conference to be held here in Houston, so don't miss it. COMPLETED.
IN THE WORKS - want a peek into the future? Check out this link to see what plans are "in the works." Submit your own ideas for events and workshops.
WHAT HAVE I MISSED? - This is a listing of workshops and other events we have held during 2006 and 2007. If you're thinking about joining GHID, check out this list to see just some of the benefits of membership.
