October 13, 2007 - Due to the unexpected illness of our presenter, this workshop that had been planned for October 6 was combined with ESC Region 4 on October 13. Lauri Metcalf of San Antonio College presented a workshop that not only reviewed basic English skills to help interpreters prepare for the Test of English Proficiency, but also covered sight translation. Our sincere thanks to Tracy Hicks and ESC Region 4 for allowing us to collaborate with them on this outstanding development opportunity. Completed.

Sept 8, 2007 - RID Conference Review was a great recap of the latest news and develoments from the 2007 RID Conference in San Francisco. Besides sharing a meal together, we were able to catch up with each other and preview the promotional video for the 2008 TSID/RID Region IV Joint Conference. Completed.

August 20-22, 2007, Camp Allen Summer Interpreter Unification Institute developed by Partners with Interpreters, which includes GHID, got rave reviews from its attendees and presenters. If you missed it this year, don't make that same mistake in the future. Keep watching for future announcements. Completed.

January 18, 2007 - Erma Webb presented the second part of the the workshop described below, "Interpreting Standardized Tests: The Role of the Sign Language Interpreter." Completed.

DECEMBER 6, 2006 - Dan Diffee presented the first of a 2-part workshop for Educational Interpreters, entitled “Interpreting Standardized Tests:  The Role of the Sign Language Interpreter, Part 1.” Completed.
